Frequently Asked Questions

How much notice do you require?

To avoid disappointment I advise booking as soon as possible, however, where possible I will try to accommodate you.  I would suggest a minimum of three month’s notice for a wedding cake, four week’s notice for celebration cakes and one week’s notice for cupcake bouquets.

What information do you need to book a cake?

To make the process easier when placing an order please provide the date you would like to take receipt of the cake, the number of servings, an idea of the design you would like and any additional requirements such as a cake topper.

What are your prices?

As my cakes are all bespoke it is difficult to provide a standard price list.  Prices are calculated based upon design and number of servings.  As a guide my buttercream cakes start from £50, my sugarpaste cakes start from £60, cupcake bouquets start from £25.  A three tier wedding cake starts from £300. If you provide me with an idea of design and number of servings I can provide you with a more accurate quote.

How do I pay for my cake?

A £50 deposit is required for wedding cakes to save the date, the remainder of the balance is due 14 days prior to the wedding date.  For all other celebration cakes a % deposit is required at the time of booking with the remaining balance due on collection/delivery.  I only accept cash or bank transfer for celebration cakes (bank transfers must be cleared prior to collection/delivery).  No booking is confirmed without a deposit.

Do you deliver?

I offer delivery and set up for all of our wedding cakes within a reasonable distance.  Delivery of all other orders must be arranged at the point of booking.  Collection and delivery is by appointment.

Do you cater to allergies?

Our kitchen is not allergen free so I cannot eliminate all risk of cross-contact.  I am able to cater for food intolerances and currently offer gluten free celebration cakes and gluten free and dairy free cupcakes.
